I cleared my first solo on Liberty today!
during the 1 hour flight
as I was holding east of airfield
Capt Aung suddenly said
I cant believed what I heard
and I straight away replied
"yes sir. I can do it!"
but there was an AK/MAS plane on the runway
it was about to take off and requesting backtrack
another one on 5miles final
Capt Aung was worried that we need to hold for another 15minutes
which meant that I cant go solo due to darkening sky
as that time was already 1800 hours
thanks God the tower asked us to do a tight circuit and short final
it did save a lot of time
while taxying to cargo apron
Capt Aung requested the tower to send me for my 1st solo flight
with the callsign "Suria 08 Sierra"
He jumped off the plane after I requested taxi
without shutting down the engine
and again
I taxi to holding point Bravo
the 1st time to taxi without Capt Aung beside me was kinda weird
and while at holding point as I added power
the plane started to move
so I expetited all the checks with my brakes holding
and requested line up/take off
CATs checks done, TOOK OFF!
airborned nicely at 61kts
left turn 1000ft
but my spacing between the runway was kinda tight
Capt Aung realised it on ground too
while reporting downwind I was No.3
and I had no idea where the heck was No.1 and 2
then the tower said I was No.2 and report while visual No.1
I SAW NOTHING!
well, just replied a "Negative"
and request a right hand orbit
on final
aimed the piano keys
flare after power idle
hold and look at the end of runway
~bmmmp~
nice and smooth landing without any bounce
and it was having a 10kts crosswind!
OH MY GOD and I DID IT!
praise the lord!
thanks god for giving me the chance to go solo on this fine day
thanks for my brothers and sisters that prayed hard for me
thanks for all the seniors' useful tips
especially Mr.Lim's
I was so happy once I touchdown
such a nice landing and I will never forget this day for the rest of my life!
and of course,
THANK YOU, CAPT AUNG! ♥
